LIFE is the EU’s financial instrument supporting environmental and nature conservation projects. Since 1992, LIFE has co-financed more than 4500 projects costing 3.4 million euros. In Spain, LIFE has collaborated on 558 projects totaling 411 million euros.
Each year, LIFE+ programme has a meeting presenting project budgets related to one of three priority areas: nature and biodiversity, politics and environmental governance or information and communication.
The main objective for the 2014 – 2020 period is to contribute to sustainable development and achieve the objectives of the European Union strategies for environment and climate change.
